Making it count
Minimalism is about making it count. When the Finnish magazine Suomen luonto (Finland’s Nature) chose fireworks as the winner of their “vanity of the year” award they made many people angry. On the net many called them party poopers.
But when I think back 20 years I can still remember the new years fireworks I watched as a kid. There was one big show everyone went to see and it was put on by professionals once a year. And it made a lasting impression on me. Today people order firework shows for even the smallest private events. And after all the noise, air pollution, garbage and waste of money, what are they left with?
